With over a decade of experience in the legal search industry, Tobey has consistently been recognized as a top producer. She previously worked for the boutique legal recruiting firm Sacks & Delano Consulting, where she focused on attorney placements. Before transitioning into legal recruiting, Tobey began her career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Worcester County. She then moved into civil litigation at Ficksman & Conley in Boston, focusing on litigation defense in both state and federal courts. Her firsthand experience in the legal profession gives her deep insight into the needs of high-level practicing attorneys and how to align them with the right opportunities in regional, national, and international legal markets.
Tobey’s dual experience as an attorney and legal recruiter provides her with a comprehensive perspective on the search process. Tobey earned her B.A. in Psychology from Bucknell University in 2001, where she was a Division I Varsity Swimmer, Division I Varsity Water Polo player, and an Academic All-American (1997-1998). She earned her J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law in 2006, where she was a member of the Dean’s List (2003-2006).
Outside of recruiting, Tobey is a passionate and self-proclaimed “embarrassing sports mom.” Having “married into soccer” with a husband who is a Division I Men’s Varsity Soccer Coach, she can often be found on the sidelines cheering at her children’s events or her husband’s games.
